HALLET MATERIALS 

ENVIRONMENTAL INTERN - Ankeny, IA

The Environmental Intern position will be responsible for assisting the environmental department in its efforts to ensure the company’s compliance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations, rules, and guidelines.

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN - Wall Lake, MN 

Provide inspection, testing services, and documentation of aggregates for plant facilities. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, facility managers, DOT personnel, State, County, and Municipal personnel.  Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

MATERIALS SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Lake View, IA 

The Sales Representative is a skilled position requiring the effective management of assigned product line(s) of, Hot Mix Asphalt, Aggregates, or Ready Mix as determined by Manager, for sales and customer service to various types of customers. The qualified individual should increase sales by being customer oriented, assertive, well organized, and goal oriented. Relationship skills are critical to this position with the ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels in an organization.

 

DES MOINES ASPHALT AND PAVING

HMA QC TECHNICIAN - Des Moines, IA 

Provide inspection, testing services, and documentation for paving projects. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, facility managers, DOT personnel, State, County, and Municipal personnel. The Asphalt Quality Control Technician is responsible for compaction testing of asphalt mixtures and making any necessary adjustments to the compaction process to ensure compliance for all applications and projects.

FLAGGER - Johnston, IA 

The employee will be responsible for various flagging duties on construction and/or paving projects properly directing traffic in construction work zones in order to protect employees as well as property.

ASPHALT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - Johnston, IA 

The Asphalt Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes.  The career field for “Equipment Operator” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Equipment Operator (Grade and Pave Crew), Heavy Equipment Operator, Roller Operator (Self-Propelled, Asphalt, Other than Asphalt), Motor Grader Operator (Rough Grade), Paver Machine Operator. 

LOADER OPERATOR - Johnston, IA 

The Asphalt Plant Loader Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment and will also perform various duties on the construction and/or Asphalt plant.  The employee will be involved/responsible for the daily operations at the plant and maintenance of the plant equipment. Scheduling all inbound materials and communicating with the production foreperson, Quality Control, and Plant Manager as required. 

CESSFORD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

PORTABLE CRUSHING PLANT SUPERVISOR - Burlington, IA

The Portable Crushing Plant Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading the daily production needs of a Crushing and Screen Plant.  In addition this position is required to assist with the daily, monthly, and annual operations and maintenance of a Crushing and Screen Plant.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - Burlington, IA

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for quarry operations.  The career field for “Heavy Equipment Operator” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Heavy Equipment Operator, End Loader Operator, Haul Truck Operator, Skid Loader Operator, Plant Operator, Plant Maintenance, Plant Teardown/Setup. This position may travel in the area from Burlington, IA to Le Grand, IA. 

MINNESOTA PAVING AND MATERIALS 

2024 MINE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP - Mankato, MN 

The Mine Engineering Intern position will work on gaining an overall understanding of the major divisions of CRH Americas Materials.  The selected candidate will be involved with and learn about various aspects of the company and will include all areas of aggregates.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT INTERN - Mankato, MN 

The Construction Management Intern position will work on gaining an overall understanding of the major divisions of CRH Americas Materials. The selected candidate will be involved with and learn about various aspects of the company and may include areas such as asphalt, aggregates and transportation.

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER - Mankato, MN

The Assistant Project Manager position is responsible for using a combination of past experiences and project specifications to accurately project the amount of materials, equipment, and man hours that must be utilized in order to complete a given project.  Based upon these calculations, they create a project budget that is then presented to Management.  All necessary details must meet not only legal, but also company policies and guidelines.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT - Mankato, MN 

The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for the for the following functions, but not limited to, data entry for job cost accounting, billing, material purchasing, and general office duties.  This position supports the Accounting Manager, Billing Specialist, Operations Manager, and General Manager.

PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT - Rogers, MN 

This position will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of a project or projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.  Including responsibility for sales and marketing of materials construction products.

MATERIAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Rogers, MN

COST ACCOUNTANT - Mankato, MN

Works closely with Project Managers and Construction Management to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports as they relate to construction projects by performing the following duties.

PROJECT ESTIMATOR - Rogers, MN

GRADING CREW OPERATOR - Waite Park, MN 

A Grading Crew Operator will be responsible for safely operating machines to excavate, place, compact, and prepare a variety of earth and aggregate materials to a finish design according to specifications. Operator shall also be responsible of the safe operations for removal, preparation, and placement of concrete or asphalt surfaces.  

PAVING FOREPERSON - Waite Park, MN 

The Paving Foreperson position is responsible for the day to day operations of the facility including the following, but not limited to: communication with truck drivers, handling the aspects related to plant personnel and customers, scheduling and necessary plant maintenance.

SCREED OPERATOR - Waite Park, MN 

This is a highly skilled position involving control of the depth and smoothness of the asphalt mat behind the Asphalt Paving machine. Observes distribution of paving material along screed and controls the direction of the screed to eliminate voids at curbs and joints

ASPAHLT LABORER - Waite Park, MN 

The Asphalt Laborer position is responsible for performing various duties on construction and/or paving projects. The employee will generally work in utility capacity by transferring from one task to another where demands are required.

The Asphalt Paver Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes.  The career field for “Paving Operator” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Equipment Operator (Grade and Pave Crew), Heavy Equipment Operator, Roller Operator (Self-Propelled, Asphalt, Other than Asphalt), Motor Grader Operator (Rough Grade), Concrete Grinder/Milling Machine Operator, Backhoe Operator, Bobcat Operator, Bulldozer/Push Dozer Operator, Concrete Finishing Machine Operator, Asphalt Paver Machine Operator.

TACK TRUCK DRIVER - Rogers, MN 

The Tack Truck Driver will be responsible for the operation of the Asphalt Paving Tack Truck, self-propelled broom, and labor duties. These duties should be carried out in a safe and effective manner under the supervision and direction of the asphalt paving superintendent and foreman.

The Construction Laborer position includes, but not limited to, the following duties: asphalt patch crew laborer, manhole/iron crew laborer, removal crew laborer, grading laborer, spotter and flagger.

CONSTRUCTION OPERATOR - Lakeland, MN

A Construction Operator will be responsible for safe operation of equipment including, but not limited to; Dozer, Excavator, 1 Ton – 8 Ton Roller, Front-end Loader, and Skid-steer with any required attachments. The equipment operator will utilize these to successfully complete the following tasks, this list is not comprehensive: excavation placement, compaction, and preparation of a variety of earth and aggregate materials to a finish design according to specifications. The Operator will also be responsible for concrete or asphalt pavement removal, and detail milling or clean up.

FINISH BLADE OPERATOR - Lakeland, MN 

The Finish Blade Operator is responsible for finish/fine grading walks, trails, and roadways for asphalt pr concrete placement. A Finish Blade Operator will be operating a variety of equipment for construction purposes. The Operator position requires knowledgeable use and skills of the following equipment: Motor Grader, Smooth Drum Roller, Skid Steer, Bulldozer/Push Dozer, and Box blade Tractor. 

DUMP TRUCK DRIVER - Mankato, MN

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. Will also work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs.
