HALLET MATERIALS 

QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN - Wall Lake, IA

Provide inspection, testing services, and documentation of aggregates for plant facilities. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, facility managers, DOT personnel, State, County, and Municipal personnel.  Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

GROUNDSKEEPER/MOWER - Waukee, IA 

Do you enjoy spending time in the great outdoors and mowing lawns? This might be the perfect job for you!

The Groundskeeper is responsible for performing various lawncare duties on the aggregate, asphalt, and/or other facilities as needed.  The employee will be involved/responsible for the daily operations of mower and other lawn equipment.  The employee will also be responsible for maintenance of the lawn equipment.  Must be able to self-manage.  

DES MOINES ASPHALT AND PAVING

FLAGGER - Johnston, IA 

The employee will be responsible for various flagging duties on construction and/or paving projects properly directing traffic in construction work zones in order to protect employees as well as property.

ASPHALT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - Johnston, IA 

The Asphalt Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes.  The career field for “Equipment Operator” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Equipment Operator (Grade and Pave Crew), Heavy Equipment Operator, Roller Operator (Self-Propelled, Asphalt, Other than Asphalt), Motor Grader Operator (Rough Grade), Paver Machine Operator.

HMA QC TECHNICAN - Des Moines, IA 

Provide inspection, testing services, and documentation for paving projects. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, facility managers, DOT personnel, State, County, and Municipal personnel. The Asphalt Quality Control Technician is responsible for compaction testing of asphalt mixtures and making any necessary adjustments to the compaction process to ensure compliance for all applications and projects.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - Burlington, IA

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for quarry operations.  The career field for “Heavy Equipment Operator” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Heavy Equipment Operator, End Loader Operator, Haul Truck Operator, Skid Loader Operator, Plant Operator, Plant Maintenance, Plant Teardown/Setup. This position may travel in the area from Burlington, IA to Le Grand, IA. 

PORTABLE PLANT SUPERVISOR - Burlington, IA

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for quarry operations.  The career field for “Heavy Equipment Operator” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Heavy Equipment Operator, End Loader Operator, Haul Truck Operator, Skid Loader Operator, Plant Operator, Plant Maintenance, Plant Teardown/Setup. This position may travel in the area from Burlington, IA to Le Grand, IA. 

MINNESOTA PAVING AND MATERIALS 

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT - Mankato, MN 

The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for the for the following functions, but not limited to, data entry for job cost accounting, billing, material purchasing, and general office duties.  This position supports the Accounting Manager, Billing Specialist, Operations Manager, and General Manager.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR - Rogers, MN 

The Contract Administrator position is responsible for the following functions, but not limited to, tracking, compiling, analyzing data required for effective administration of our construction contracts. This position supports Estimators, Project Managers, and Accounting Staff. 

COST ACCOUNTANT - Mankato, MN

Works closely with Project Managers and Construction Management to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports as they relate to construction projects by performing the following duties.

PROJECT ESTIMATOR - Rogers, MN 

The Estimator position is responsible for using a combination of past experiences and project specifications to accurately project the amount of materials, equipment, and man hours that must be utilized in order to complete a given project.  Based upon these calculations, they create a project budget that is then presented to Management.  All necessary details must meet not only legal, but also company policies and guidelines.

PATCH CREW FOREPERSON - Lakeland, MN 

The Patch Crew Foreman position is responsible for performing various duties on asphalt patching projects and construction projects. The Patching Foreperson position is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the field including the following, but not limited to: communication with truck drivers, handling the aspects related to plant communication, scheduling of crew.

FINISH BLADE OPERATOR - Lakeland, MN 

The Finish Blade Operator is responsible for finish/fine grading walks, trails, and roadways for asphalt or concrete placement. A Finish Blade Operator will be operating a variety of equipment for construction purposes. The Operator position requires knowledgeable use and skills of the following equipment: Motor Grader, Smooth Drum Roller, Skid Steer, Bulldozer/Push Dozer, and Box blade Tractor. 

DUMP TRUCK DRIVER - Mankato, MN

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. Will also work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs.

GRADING CREW LABORER - Mankato, MN

The Grading Crew Laborer position is responsible for performing various duties on construction and/or paving projects. The employee will generally work in utility capacity by transferring from one task to another where demands are required.  The career field for “Construction Laborer” includes, but may not be limited to, the following positions: Laborer, General Laborer, Flagging, and Paving Laborer.
